Check out Øyeblikk’s photo contest! This time the theme is “backlit”, which is my favorite, hence why I picked it out. I’m so excited and happy about judging the contest and see what people submit! Here’s a couple photos I took in september last year, right before the sun went down. That’s the best time to get the soft and pretty light.

8Øyeblikk.net is having another photo contest and has “travel” as their theme this time. I’ve been doing a lot of traveling lately after I met Scott, which I love. We are lucky to have his father as a pilot and mother as a flight attendant on two different airlines that gives us cheap tickets to go almost everywhere. New York is special to me because I have so many good memories from the city after being there a lot with Scott. It’s a week ago today since I flew over the city and gosh what a beautiful sight! Here’s what met me the first time I visited the Big Apple. Scott used to work in the building (Time & Life) to the left. (Click on the photo to make it bigger)

Winter Wonderful
2I just found out my picture was picked out amongst 9 others at the talented Lina’s Photography Blog. Feel free to give me a vote HERE. It’s picture nr. 8. Thanks!
Not this time
010am this morning they finally published the Vixen Award finalists. I was so anxious to see if I was there! Even though I don’t have many Bloglovin followers and readers, I had a tiny little bit of hope for getting in, who wouldn’t?
Sadly (for me) my name wasn’t there. So now that I don’t have to be at the Award Show February 14th (Valentine’s day!), I have an even bigger reason to take the next flight to the states and be with my husband for a while.
Congratulations to the five photography bloggers that made it to the final! My vote goes to Mariell behind Hjartesmil. Her blog is different, has so many good pictures, such pretty colors, so many pretty things and tons of inspiration!
As for me, I’m really happy I was nominated as top ten and I will just keep trying to get better at photography. It’s so much fun!
