Probably my most cliche title and post ever, but it’s true! It really was the wedding of my dreams! Everything turned out the way I wanted and I couldn’t be happier. It was a hot and cloudy day, but we didn’t get rain. Instead we had the most beautiful sunset and everyone got to see it from the big windows at the reception. The ceremony was beautiful, Maria’s song “Hosanna” bring tears to my eyes every time I watch it (I can’t even count how many times I’ve been watching the video) and so does Chris’s song “Beautiful”. The bubbles outside the church came out cool, the food at the reception was really good, the music was awesome (make your own playlist instead of paying thousands of dollars for a DJ only playing Celine Dion and his own remixes), “Glow” by Madcon was awesome at the dance floor, and well, I could go on and on…

It was perfect and I just have to thank everyone that helped us make our dream come true. To my beautiful mother and sister in law for finding Sirena Ristorante were we had the reception, for driving around everywhere to plan stuff we weren’t able to from Norway, for helping me find my gown, for the lovely rehearsal dinner, hotel room and everything else you’ve given us! For all the support and love and for the most amazing day at the Atlantic club spa! I love you guys!

Thanks to my mom, her husband and my aunts for folding the ceremony programs the night before the wedding, you are lifesavers! Thanks to my beautiful bridesmaids for looking gorgeous at the wedding and for being the best friends and sisters in the world! Thank you for taking off work and come all the way to NJ! Thanks to the groomsmen for not shaving the beards and for looking as handsome as ever! Thanks to my lovely flower girl Frida and the ring bearers, Noah and Kyle, the three of you all looked so cute and did such a good job. Thanks to Maria and Henry for performing “Hosanna” and thank you Julie and Nina for the ceremony readings. Thank you Chris Colletti for making the most beautiful ceremony for us and being such a good friend. Thank you Matt for videotaping everything, can’t wait to put it together!

Thank you Darren Le’Blanc for MC’ing the reception and for putting up with the whole slideshow situation lol, It was perfect! Thank you Chris for making the delicious chocolate WordPress cake! Thank you Amanda Hill for understanding exactly what kind of style I wanted for flowers and making it even more beautiful than I had in mind. Thanks to Jon Macapodi for taking the pictures, we LOVE them! Big thank you to my father in law for making Bridezillah take over your house with all the planning and stuff lying around and for the wonderful honeymoon and for letting us fly in first class!

And to my parents: Thank you both so much for all the love and support we get from you, for paying the wedding and for being the best parents, you’ve taught me everything important in life. And to my mom, thanks for not freaking out about not being able to plan your daughters wedding 4000 miles away and dad for the speech you gave, we love you both so much!

Thanks to those I forgot, for all the prayers and thanks to everyone that came to our wedding, especially those who had to travel far. And of course: Thank you all so much for the gifts!!! I’m so amazed, I have no words – THANK YOU!

And to Scott, my gorgoeus, handsome husband. Thank you for making me your Mrs. Basgaard. Thank you for everything you’ve brought in to my life, all the excitement, all the love, patients, happiness, smiles, knowledge, your friends and your family. Thank you for liking the same music, clothes and hobbies as me. (You always pick out my best outfits!) Thank you for my Tiffany engagement ring, I’m sorry you had to sell your truck Thank you for moving to Norway with me and making me the happiest girl in the world! I lOVE YOU SO MUCH!
